I have been performing with various musical groups for nearly 20 years. Growing up, my experiences with music were something that helped shape me into the person I am today! I have a background as a pianist, violist, and a harpist. I also graduated in 2020 from Brigham Young University with a BM in music education. I have ten years of teaching experience, and I have worked with all ages and playing abilities. Currently, I teach elementary music full time in the Portland, OR area, as well as assisting with orchestra classes and teaching private students. My goal is to use my expertise to make music accessible to all walks of life. San Diego Strings has been a dream in the making for many years. It has been a true passion of mine to bring the joy of music to as many people as possible. Even as a high school student, I had a passion for teaching music and a desire to reach as many students as possible.
Fast forward a few years, and I was graduating with my bachelor of music degree during the covid-19 pandemic, and I wanted a way to reach more students who weren't able to connect as easily with a music teacher. San Diego Strings was born as a way to share the gift of music with everyone!
Over the past few years, San Diego Strings has blossomed into a community where students and teachers alike can find resources, lessons, and connection through music. This is a place where students come to feel connected and to learn in a warm, judgement free zone, and to become the best musicians they can. This is where we lean in and explore music the San Diego way!
